The Changdeokgung Palace Stone Pendant

$195

Impression Pendants use found textures in the physical world as jewelry molds. They are made by creating impressions from textures found around the world from historically and culturally significant landmarks and objects. The result is a modern fossil captured in fine metal.

This impression is made from stone at Changdeokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea. It is one of five grand palaces built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897).

Each pendant is individually hand-sculpted and hand-fired with recycled Japanese fine silver (999FS). This fine silver has been specially formulated to be more durable than typical fine silvers. Like all fine jewelry, handle with care.

Silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to the elements and will require occasional cleaning. Look for silver polishes, solutions, or cloths appropriate to remove tarnish at most hardware or specialty craft stores. Avoid exposing silver to household chemicals when cleaning with bleach or ammonia, or when swimming in chlorinated water.
